HEROES Design Days

The HEROES Alliance is committed to transforming the talents of a new generation of European citizens into solutions that strengthen the resilience of people, businesses, and nature.
To boost the process of developing these joint educational offerings HEROES is organisating the HEROES Design Days. The purpose is to continue working with partners on concrete ideas or proposals and to generate new ideas. Design Days are for discussion, co-creation, innovation of potential programmes.
The HEROES Design Days aim to collaboratively develop joint educational programmes such as:
* Modules (15 ECTS)
* Minors (30 ECTS)
* Double/Dual Bachelor’s Degrees

Training dates:
Training duration: The minimum participation days are 26th and 27th October. On the 28th October the programme ends after lunch.
Application deadline: 28 August 2026.
On or before the 7th September you will be, based on your application, matched and assigned to one of the 5 locations.
These locations are:
* Deggendorf Institute of Technology – Germany
* University College of Northern Denmark
* Thomas More UAS – Belgium
* Seinajoki UAS – Finland
* Fontys – the Netherlands
Application deadline: 2026-08-28
Maximum participants: 40 per location – 5 possible locations

Intended learning outcomes:
* Participants generate an idea for an interdisciplinary joint programme to transform the talents of a new generation of EU citizens into superpowers that advance the smart regional resilience of people, businesses and nature.
* Participants develop the concrete idea into a HEROES joint programme (Module, Minor, Double/Dual Degree).
* Participants create an action plan to further develop the joint programme afterwards.

Registration requirements:
Being a staff member of a HEROES institution.
Being able to participate 2 full days.
