The Exchange: Bridging Education, Industry and Borders

How can universities connect education more closely with industry? How can international activities contribute to educational innovation? And how can institutions learn from one another across national and organisational borders? 

From 12–14 January 2027, Fontys ICT will welcome colleagues from its partner universities to Eindhoven for The Exchange: Bridging Education, Industry and Borders. 

During this three-day international staff week, participants will gain first-hand insight into three important pillars of the Fontys ICT approach: 

• An innovative educational model; 

• Close collaboration between education and industry; 

• International learning through activities such as Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programmes and the development of intercultural competences. 

Participants will discover how these elements are incorporated into education at Fontys ICT. They will visit the Fontys ICT InnovationLab, exchange practices and experiences with international colleagues and explore opportunities for future collaboration. 

The detailed programme is currently under development and will be announced later.

• Dates: 12–14 January 2027; 

• Tuesday and Thursday: Fontys Campus Rachelsmolen, R10 building, Rachelsmolen 1, Eindhoven; 

• Wednesday: Fontys ICT InnovationLab, Achtseweg Zuid 151c, Eindhoven; 

• Target group: Colleagues from Fontys ICT partner universities; 

• Maximum participation: Two colleagues per partner university; 

• Coordinators: Marilyn Bailey and Lucienne Wijgergangs; 

• Registration: Via the registration form on the event webpage.
