The HEROES Alliance has reached a major milestone with the official launch of the HEROES Virtual Campus—a shared digital environment designed to bring together students, teachers, researchers, professional staff, and local stakeholders from across its partner universities.
More than just a platform, the Virtual Campus represents a new way of connecting people, opportunities, and expertise across the alliance. By providing a single point of access to educational, research, and innovation activities, it lays the foundation for deeper collaboration and a more integrated European university experience.
From joint courses and mobility opportunities to staff training, lab facilities, events and matchmaking tools for students, researchers, and stakeholders, the Virtual Campus serves as a gateway to the growing ecosystem of opportunities available within HEROES.
“We are extremely proud to launch the Virtual Campus following 18 months of intensive collaboration across the HEROES alliance,” says Sofia Ryan Hägerling, who leads the work package responsible for the platform’s creation, development, and long-term maintenance. She continues; “The Virtual Campus will serve as the central hub for HEROES activities and projects—a place where collaboration, learning, and innovation come together. Seeing the platform take shape and all the pieces finally fall into place is both rewarding and exciting.”
The launch marks the beginning of a new chapter for the alliance. As HEROES continues to develop, the Virtual Campus will evolve alongside it, with new initiatives, services, and opportunities continuously being added.
What is launching today is not just a platform—it is a shared space where ideas can meet, partnerships can grow, and the future of the HEROES community can take shape.
Stay tuned. The journey has only just begun.
