Staying Connected: HEROES Alumni Event Programme 2026/2027

Graduation closes one chapter, but learning rarely stops there. The HEROES European University Alliance has published its Alumni Event Programme 2026/2027, which invites graduates of its partner universities to meet, learn and stay connected through events in Germany, Denmark, Finland and the Netherlands.

A programme built around lifelong learning

Most professionals keep picking up the knowledge they need throughout their careers, often from people they meet long after leaving the lecture hall. The Alumni Event Programme is designed for this kind of learning. It brings together conferences, international days and discovery routes organised across the Alliance and open to alumni from all partner universities.

The topics are as varied as the places. They include the human side of artificial intelligence, future skills, high tech innovation and international cooperation between regions. The programme opened in September 2026 in Germany with an alumni panel discussion titled “I, Human: Why the Machines Still Need Us” and continues until summer 2027.

Resilience starts with people

At the heart of the programme lies a question every professional faces sooner or later: how do we stay ready for change? For HEROES, this is what regional resilience looks like in practice. Resilience grows when people keep learning, share what they know and stay part of a community that reaches beyond one university or one country.

Alumni play a special role here. Many studied in one country and now work in another, bringing experience and ideas back to their own regions. Through the programme, HEROES aims to strengthen these connections and to engage existing alumni networks at partner universities.
