From 21 to 23 October, around 140 representatives from nine European higher education institutions are meeting at Halmstad University, Sweden, for the semi-annual conference of the HEROES European University Alliance.
The gathering brings together academics, staff members, and students to reflect on recent achievements and shape the next steps toward a more connected, innovative, and resilient European higher education community.
Discussions in Halmstad discuss common Quality Assurance Framework, explore new ways to deepen cooperation in teaching and research, and prepare the next phase of joint staff training programmes to be launched in 2026. Partners also exchange ideas within the HEROES Sandbox, an experimental space supporting small-scale projects that build resilience, well-being, and community.
By bringing together all working groups, leadership, and students, the Halmstad meeting serves as a key moment of alignment – connecting different strands of work and transforming collective ideas into practical, shared action.
