Vilniaus kolegija (VIKO) is the largest accredited higher professional education institution in Lithuania, located in Vilnius, the country’s capital and a dynamic hub of innovation, culture, and education.
VIKO brings together around 600 qualified educators and 6,600 students across 58 study programmes within 9 faculties: Electronics and Informatics, Economics, Business Management, Health Care, Pedagogics, Arts and Design, Agrotechnologies, Civil Engineering, and Technical.
Its strategic focus includes fostering applied research, promoting sustainable development, and strengthening international collaboration. VIKO stands out for its strong industry partnerships, its emphasis on social responsibility and innovation in education. It is also the only higher education institution in Lithuania to have received the Knowledge Economy Forum Award for Innovations.
VIKO is an active member of numerous international networks and associations, including EURASHE, SPACE, ENPHE, AEC, VETNNET, CDIO, ELIA, EAEC, Baltic Sea Network, Comenius Association, ILITE Network, and the global PEN Worldwide network, as well as national organizations such as the Knowledge Economy Forum, INFOBALT, and the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts. Through these collaborations, VIKO contributes to advancing innovation, sustainability, and quality in applied higher education across Europe and beyond.
