As a HEROES student, you join an international community where learning goes beyond the classroom. Take joint courses, join exchanges, and work on challenge-based projects with peers from nine countries, gaining new skills and experiencing different cultures and regions along the way.
What’s in it for you as a student?
Level up your studies with new friendships and real opportunities across Europe. Grow your confidence, build a network that lasts, and get ready for the future while making an impact in a community where your ideas count. Step up and become a truly European student!
Examples of offerings for students via HEROES:
BIPs
Each HEROES University offers Blended Intensive Programmes, where you combine online learning with a short period of physical mobility, giving you the opportunity to go on a short exchange and learn and collaborate with students from other universities and countries within the Alliance.
Ask your programme director or international office contact for current offerings.
CBL
In many of the courses offered within HEROES you will use Challenge-Based Learning as a teaching method that gives you the opportunity to work together across disciplines and institutions to address real-world challenges and develop innovative, practical solutions.
MOOCs
Via HEROES you get access to Massive Open Online Courses that are flexible online courses open to a large number of participants, allowing you to learn from experts and connect with people from around the world.
Summer Schools
HEROES summer schools allow you to spend a few weeks during your summer holidays at one of the universities within the alliance. The Summer schools are short, intensive learning programmes that bring together students from the alliance universities to study, network and share cultural experiences.
Ask your programme director or international office contact for current offerings.
Student council engagement
By getting involved in the HEROES Student council you get the opportunity to build an international network of other engaged students, travel across Europe, participate in decision-making, represent student perspectives and contribute to the development of both your university and the alliance universities.
Ask your Student Union contact for details on how to get involved.
Joint programmes
HEROES Joint study programmes are developed and delivered by two or more universities within in Alliance, allowing you to benefit from the expertise, courses and learning environments of multiple institutions.
More information to come.
Double degrees / dual degrees
HEROES Double or dual degree programmes allow you as a student to study at two partner universities and earn two separate degrees, based on an agreed programme of study and mobility period.
More information to come.
Students will soon be able to join international learning activities, short programmes, research initiatives, and community projects developed across the alliance. As the programme grows, new opportunities will be added regularly.
